35th Interact Installation..

The inevitable blogpost on the 35th Installation of Interact Club ACS, guess many of you guys saw this coming. For 3 years I’ve been attending Installations, this would probably be the one that I’ll remember Interact Club ACS for. My last one as an Interactor. First year was of course memorable being a young kid trying out formal clothes and ending up with a pink tie and a maroon shirt, second year was a light bluish purple shirt with a purple tie, and this year, striped black and white with another purple tie. Okay, there is somehow an affinity for me towards more feminine colours when I’m dressing up.

The night was kickstarted by the emcees Anderson and Patricia who did a splendid job last night. Did I mention I was emcee too for my first year? Anyway, thats besides the point.

Compressing pictures for blog posts seriously craps up the picture quality, sigh. For better pictures, pass me your thumbdrives please.

Ohyea, this is the first time I’ve seen Rtn Teh Chak King taking pictures during an installation with a small compact digital camera instead of lugging around his dSLR. Made me feel much less inferior. haha!

Formalities included a presentation from the outgoing board, slideshow on the activities carried out, more speeches, installation of the new board and the presentation of plaques and certificates. At last, it was dinner.

During dinner, there were performances from Yvonne and her gang plus Alex and his bunch. Alex dedicated his song to a mystery girl out there and gave a very moving speech before he sang. Could see the girls going, awww…… Romantic?

Then of course, the dance floor was opened.

So what, big deal, a couple of speeches, performances, and hot dancing. I suppose the best part of any of these kind of events are the people. And yea, everyone was pretty much smoking hot that night.

One little rascal short to a full family. I remember my dad wanted to come for my first installation when I was emcee and I was like not really keen with that. He didn’t come that year but it wasn’t too bad this year. Though it is kinda weird getting a certificate from your own father.

Grown up? Stature most probably, style, maybe, but maturity?

Far from it.

Big headed mafia lord he is. Almost 2 years younger than me but studying in the same year cause his hyperactive mouth and brain was too much for his actual year mates to handle.

Wen Ning. I remember those days when I was hanging with Wen Jing, she was like the quiet sister who always seemed to be in the computer room. Boy how she’s changed to the beauty she is today. Made me look like a blur nerd in this shot. haha! Come on, its not easy to compose yourself when taking a picture with a girl like her!!

Miss emcee Patricia Chen. Teaching dance with her for the musical taught me so so so much on tolerance. haha! The tennis/miss universe/talking machine girl has been known to be the center of attraction most of the time no? I bet Jun Biao and Chin Wei will know a lot about that huh Ian? So many funny stories there.

Kristy Chen. Fellow worship chairpersons in MYF last term. I remember those days when we had to persuade you to not to be afraid and lead worship sometimes. Stubborn girl you were but your little speech during council retreat shows that you’ve grown. Mark’s baby sister who apparently eats a lot. Too bad she and her brother bumped into us when going out for makan one day. Didn’t get the chance to chow down heartily that day huh Kristy?

Yvonne Har! I was actually standing a step lower than her and she’s on the stage. She’s not that tall. ehem.. Another one of them girls who looked absolutely fabulous that night. Does this sweet looking short lass look like a Military Band Leader to you? Do not underestimate the vertically challenged!!

Evelyn and I. She was sizzling as always. Came back from KL with many of the other former Interactors for last night. She was our driver!! hehe…

And in every night out, there’s always prone to be a scandal somewhere. This time, I managed to get a picture of it.
